We were expecting the decision on Nottinghamshire’s 2nd exploratory drilling application at Tinker Lane (between Barnby Moor and Blyth in Bassetlaw) to be this month, February 2017. However it has been announced this week that IGas were asked to provide more information in order for the planning officer to make a recommendation. This information has now been provided and so must now be consulted upon. This means a 21 day consultation, which is great news for the Frack Free movement as delays mean added cost and more time for us to gain more objections.

If you live within an area with your county councillor on the planning committee, please get in touch with us. These councillors will be making the final decisions.
The date of the decision on this application has been set for Tuesday 21st March 2017, 10.30am at County Hall. We will need a large presence outside from 9am and throughout the day. Please join us, bring your placards, bring your voices.
Remember, this is only exploratory drilling, but the name of the site – Tinker Lane-1 shows us that this is just one of many sites in Bassetlaw, which in the end could turn into a gasfield of 100’s of wells. We say NOT ONE WELL.
